I'm getting hitched!!!

All I have to say is God's timing is perfect! The plan I had for my life was, I am in DC so I'm going to focus on my career and God. Period. But once I had connected with Chad again, I knew if I dated him, I was going to marry him. When we talked about getting together I was nervous-because I wasn't sure I wanted to be married. I told him that I needed to pray about everything and his response was, "You pray about it. God's going to tell you the same thing he told me."

As I prayed about it, I had overwhelming peace about everything. God had given me the clarity to date him; all the while He was changing my innermost desires.

Marriage seemed like a beautiful thing that I had to encounter with this man! I knew at that point that it was ok to start talking about marriage. When I was 1000 percent sure-I told my family that I was going to marry him. Surprisingly, they were in agreement. Chad is an amazing person in whom I am so proud to marry. I can not imagine my life without him!

How he proposed was while walking around monuments at night. We were sitting around the Tidal Basin underneath a cherry blossom tree. He looked at me and said, "You

have already changed my life so much in an amazing way. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." Then he said, "Lori, I have a question for you." He got down on one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?" I responded with a YES!!! He has made me the happiest I have ever been. I guess this is what real true love is supposed to feel like.
